I love to read. I'm usually reading at least 3 books at a time. They're not all good... some are really bad. I have trouble not finishing books though. Now CBR has doubled down on that trouble, because I want to get credit for reading the bad ones too!

kfishgirl's Reviews:

Book 2 of the Walt Fleming series

November 6, 2017 by kfishgirl Leave a Comment

This is the second book in the Walt Fleming series.  I started the series by reading book 3, then realized it was a series and read book 1, then this one.  There’s a book 4 too, so I’ll probably read that next!  3, 1, 2, 4, totally a great way to read a series of books. I like the character of Walt Fleming.  He’s a sheriff who has some personal issues (going through a divorce, single dad, doesn’t know how to interact with people sometimes, […]

Don’t call it a Cannonball (but it is)

November 6, 2017 by kfishgirl 4 Comments

So this is my 2nd full Cannonball.  I did a half in CBR 7, and finished my review for my 52nd book for CBR8 on New Year’s Eve.  I’m not sure what happened this year, but I’m super early with my 52nd book! Anyway, my final book last year was suggested by my niece, and it was a meaningful book (The BFG), so I wanted my Cannonball book to be a meaningful one this year.  I was in the middle of a few books, and […]

If you can handle the multiple animals in peril, it’s a good read

October 17, 2017 by kfishgirl Leave a Comment

Ok I have to get this out of the way first.  Multiple animals are in peril in this book.  Some don’t make it.  I had a little bit of a hard time with some of it.  I’ll lay out the basics, and you can decide if you can handle it.  A dog dies, but we didn’t meet her first, and there are literally no details about it.  This one normally would’ve been rough for me, but because there aren’t any details, and it’s only brought […]

I wanted to be more into it

October 17, 2017 by kfishgirl Leave a Comment

So this is book 5 in the Omega Days series.  I read the first four and loved them.  I think maybe if I had read this right after I finished book 4, I would’ve been more into it.  I kinda forgot about where everyone was in the world, and I kinda lost my connection to the characters.  I didn’t have the opportunity to read it right after I finished book 4 though, because it wasn’t out yet! Anyway… I feel like every single one of […]
