I’ve been meaning to read this book for forever, but finally I felt like I was in a good enough place that I had the mental bandwidth. In reality, I probably shouldn’t have waited so long. It wasn’t an easy read obviously, it’s just that Cullen is such a good writer that the book was surprisingly readable. It feels a bit gross to say that a book about such a terrible tragedy was a page turner and yet… it really was. I think most people […]
Goes Down Easy
3.5 stars. This was a solid, super fun read. Light and fluffy, easy to get through so it was a great palate cleanser after having a book hangover from The Heart’s Invisible Furies. Millie and her friend group were the perfect cure. Millie and her group of guy friends all work at UC Santa Barbara as professors/researchers and they’re all single. When a fancy university event looms on the horizon, they make a pact to all get dates for it by joining an online dating […]

Anyway, I decided to start my year out with a book I was fairly certain would be great. Spoiler alert: It was super great! Becky Chambers is the best and I will read whatever she writes because I want to live in her world for as long as possible […]
