“The trick is not to mind”
Despite reading the description, I expected this to be a girly paranormal romance. It’s really nothing like that. Half Bad is like a grittier Harry Potter, though it doesn’t share much with the boy who lived other than the fact that both deal with magical peoples and are set in England. I really liked this book. Panic is a game played by the outgoing senior class. Anyone brave enough has to perform a series of dares, some of them dangerous enough to cause injury or death. Whoever wins gets the pot, thousands of dollars that can change the lives of the teenagers in the small town. It has its moments, but I wasn’t really into the book.
