I should start with a couple disclaimers. 1) I am recovering from ankle surgery so I’m loaded with Percocet right now and might either get loopy or fall asleep before I’m done writing this up, but I also happen to have free time so here I am. 2) I am internet friends with the author of this book, but I think I can objectively tell you it’s a fun book even if I also know she’s a fun person. Amy Poehler – Funny Lady, Spirit Animal, A-mah-zing
Loved it so much, this is my second time around listening, and it was just as delightful as the first. If you like Amy Poehler, you need to read it. I’d recommend this book for just about anyone, as it is laugh out loud funny and very relatable. Dirk Maggs produces radio dramatisations for BBC radio, something I discovered a couple of years ago, when Good Omens (a top 10 book for me) was on the radio at Christmastime. (Spoiler: it was phenomenal.) So, imagine my joy when I found a […]
In which I hold back and refrain from geeking out about technology..
Oh boy oh boy! If I didn’t already have a crush on Aziz Ansari before reading this book, I definitely do now. Holy smokes that man is adorable! This book read kind of like a bunch of blog-entries strung together; like something from thegloss.com from way back when it was awesome (I don’t know what’s hip now as I am no longer young, #obvs.) Modern Romance is a sociological study of technologies impact on modern dating patterns and relationships. As we travel through America, Japan, […]
