Happy 2019! I wanted to find a cozy historical romance/ Outlander-esque read for the holidays and this one did the trick.  This is definitely a “twinkle lights on, hot cup of tea, warm fleece blanket and PJs all day” approved title. Have you read Mackenzi Lee’s The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue? If not, stop reading this review and go read that.  This is the sequel, and both books are utterly delightful and disarming. I liked this well enough, but I’m beginning to wonder if Talley isn’t a one-hit wonder for me. I LOVED her first book, but the ones I’ve read after have just been meh.
