This book is written by half of the author team that Voltrons into James S.A. Corey. Unfortunately, that means my expectations going into it were VERY high. You guuuuuuuuys. This one was so good. I think they’re ALL good, but I know some people struggled more with book four. I hope nobody struggled with this one, because it got deeper into these characters that we already know and love, and I was legit worried about the heightened levels of peril. Which seems surprising, given how often the crew of the Rocinante finds themselves in the midst of universe-spanning drama. This series has become essentially un-reviewable for me. I give every installment either four or five stars, and I have the same good things to say about every one.
