My 11yo daughter loved Telgemeier’s Sisters, Smile, and Drama, so this was a must-order for me when it came out last week. We opened the package this morning and she and I have both already read this sweet graphic novel from cover to cover! My 8yo son is up next. Catrina and her family are moving to a blustery coastal California town in the hopes that the climate will be better for Catrina’s little sister Maya, who has cystic fibrosis. Catrina is torn between wanting […]
The title of the book pretty much covers it.
3.5 stars, rounded up to 4. I’m really not sure I have 250 words to say about this book. It’s 71 lists about parenthood. They’re not hilarious, but they’re pretty funny. Let someone stare blankly at you and eat a popsicle while you pee! Yep, that’s happened. Games you […]
Wink wink nudge nudge, parenthood, amirite?
2.5 stars In the 2016 winner of the Most Thinly Veiled Memoir award, Greg Olear Josh Lansky spends a really long day parenting his two young kids, Roland and Maude. Yes, Maude. And Roland. Okay, well, that’s fine. […]
I Want a Robot Friend Too Now
Little Robot is a graphic novel (with very few words) that I saw a few months ago reviewed somewhere and I thought that it might be just the thing for my five year old who can’t bear to sit still while we read at night. Instead, he and his three year old sister dance, fight, mosh , dress the dogs and well… do just about anything else (other than listen) while my seven year old and I glare at them from the top of book. […]
