I enjoyed this book quite a bit. It was pretty similar to her first one, so if you liked that one, you will probably like this one, too. I actually think I liked this one more. They both feature unlikely pairings of people who grow to know one another, the central conflict is emotional and internal rather than forced and coming from outside, and feature a fantastic amount of food. Seriously, all these characters do is go from one meal to the next. And you […]
This book is definitely extra.
I have so many THOUGHTS about this book that I am going to go the other route and only hit the highlights. I am already ten reviews behind and I’m not going to have time today to write them all, so I might honestly have to declare REVIEW AMNESTY and start fresh in the new year. (Although there are some books I really want to actually review.) Here are my thoughts in no particular order: This book was TOO LONG. 992 pages is about two […]
Spaceship pilot/dragon rider.
I had so much fun with this book. I’ve not really seen Brandon Sanderson go full sci-fi before. He did that novella, Snapshot, but that’s pretty much it. I’m really glad I read this series. It was fluffy and cute and didn’t have too much angst in it (although still a little too much for my tastes). But the first book really was the highlight. I felt the second one was too slight, and though this one had more weight to it (with Lara Jean facing graduation and moving on from everything she’s always known), it still wasn’t as satisfying as the simplicity and cuteness of the first book. Spoilers for the first two […]
