Cats are Adorable Jerks

January 30, 2017 by Ale 3 Comments

This is my cat, Freya: Don’t be fooled by her incredible cuteness; if you look closely around the eyes you can see the crazy demon hell-beast lurking within. Freya is seven pounds of psychotic, terrifying cat piss just waiting to soil your favorite pair of shoes….or in my case,  anything that looks like it could remotely cost me my security deposit. How to Be Perfect

July 30, 2016 by Andrea Krieter Leave a Comment

Rating: 5/5 Summary: How can you be perfect? Grades, looks, image, career? For Cara, it’s perfect grades and perfect credentials, all to get into Stanford to appease her parents, especially after her brother Conner went over the deep end from the pressure. To reach her dreams of modeling she’ll do anything, including dieting, intense exercising and taking pills. Sean […]

July 14, 2015 by Ale Leave a Comment

Readings 4 & 5 for the masters program are two collections of poetry, “Holding Company” by Major Jackson, and “Poems” by Elizabeth Bishop. I’ve come out of it with the understanding that poetry isn’t for me. I mean, I sort of went in with that notion, but slogging through over 200 pages of it has really hit the nail into the coffin. This isn’t to say that I hated them; there were many of the 150 or so poems I read that I liked for […]
