As with almost every book in this series, I liked it better this time. I’ve said this before, but there are advantages to reading the hard copies of the books, as much as I love the audio versions with James Marsters. And one of those advantages is it just takes so much less time to read a physical book, and stuff that you’re not enjoying either goes faster or you can skip it outright. “Likest thou jelly within thy doughnut?”
Some overall reactions to my re-read of this book: The Gruffs are still great. Just the perfect amount of gravitas combined with ridiculousness. It’s a new year, so why not jump into a new one? :) First Grave on the Right introduces us to a tired and bruised Charley Davidson being woken up from a very sexy dream by a dead lawyer. Needless to say, she’s pretty peeved. Before she can get her bearings, her police detective Uncle Bob (UB for short) calls her to a murder scene. […]
