Life After Life is a story about living. Born in a snow storm in 1910, Ursula is a normal girl living a normal life. Over and over she lives, dies and lives again, rebooting her world, rewriting her story.
This novel weaves a tapestry of existence. Through all her paths and choices, what could have been becoming what is, we see her from every possible angle. Every decision leads down a different path, some slight and some massive. Every tragedy comes with hope, every triumph is so much sweeter knowing what could have been. While we meander through, there finally appears a path through her life, where some things are always constant. Her courage, her resolution.
Intricately plotted and believable characters (for the most part), it seems an easy read going down, but is in fact one of those books that lingers.
