This book falls into my ”Procedurals” category (series in which each book is about the main character solving a problem). I’m not a fan of procedurals, but I am a huge fan of Mercy Thompson. She is a kick-a$$ female character who can take care of herself, but she doesn’t have to go at it alone. She is married to the Alpha of a werewolf pack and, although the pack has some issues, they pull together as a team. I give this book 4 stars.
