The Genius Files: You Almost Get Killed Thrice

August 24, 2014 by Ewandini 1 Comment

The Genius Files #3: You Only Die Twice was the third book in the Genius Files series. I forgot to review the second one because I was pretty sure I already did. In this book, they have a new villain, an evil Elvis impersonator. Let me just say, the book ends with a bang, a very big bang. Read this book as they go from Washington on their way to back to California and I swear the third book will make no sense without the second book The Genius Files #2: Never Say Genius.

Coke and Pepsi are twins. Their parents were only expecting Coke, but they also got Pepsi. They are secret operatives for an organization called The Genius Files. In the organization, basically they save the world from evil people like Evil Elvis, Archie Clone, and Dr. Warshaw.  This time, Coke and Pepsi have an adventure involving a whole lot of fire. Everyone seems to not be evil at first, but then they get a lot worse by the end and, like usual, no one ever believes Coke and Pepsi.

Dan Gutman is a great author because he has written many famous books. What I like about his books is they are serious when they need to be, funny when they need to be, and sad when they need to be. He writes fiction but it gives you information as well, such as unless you read the book you probably don’t know what The House of the Rock is or that they have a mustard museum. I learned those things while reading this series.

I also read The Genius Files: Mission Unstoppable.

This is a great review. I’ll be getting The Genius Files books for my nephew for his birthday this year.
