You know how when you’re young and you don’t realize how problematic some things are, but then you learn better and cringe when you reread a comic you once thought was super awesome? It’s like that.

Well, I’ve just finished reading Issue #57 and had some similar thoughts… the fact that such a vision is sometimes fed on the public makes your head feel stunned with several things. Mine is, at least.
And I don’t think the portrayal Delano has made is to just add shock value, but to make the readers THINK. His whole run goes about really uncomfortable aspects of animal-human nature, our whole freaking eating habits included.
The conflicts we humans are facing regarding sexual issues, clearly, is not news (this is from 92-93). I believe it is time to try and understand each other in order to go forward and trascend the fact that we’re just mammals (or anything but) in order to become truly human, survival of the fittest aside.
