Very nice review. I read Confederates on the Attic while I was living in Northern Virginia. It was somewhat startling to realize that he was talking to people physically close to me, but a world away.
Not my favorite time period in American history to study way back in my school days, but I appreciate an attempt to look at it from a more un-biased perspective. This one is actually going on my list now!

Thank you! It is a much more interesting book than I expected, and not as heavy on the history as I feared.
