When I first read this book and put it down I wasn’t sure how I could ever review it. After 6 months I’m still struggling. As I read The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood it became the first book and the last book. All other books are doomed to be the mere shadow of a breath compared to the roaring gasp that is A Handmaid’s Tale. So this will not so much be a review as it will be a quick summary followed by an exasperated rants about the rights of the people. WARNING: Rants appear slightly more socialist in rear view mirror.

I’ve been meaning to read this for years. Every time I read a review, it moves closer to the top, then other stuff gets ahead of it. This time I’m determined.
I’ll look forward to your review ;)
Excellent review! And goodness do I love this book! You’re right too, in that there is nothing that comes after this book, there is your life pre-The Handmaid’s Tale and post-The Handmaid’s Tale. Your life is forever changed.
