We are taking our toddler to Disney World for the first time. This will be my second visit to Disney. I had become a bit obsessed with planning out the trip to be perfect, so my husband gave this book to me for Christmas. Overall I feel like this book would be best for someone who has been to Disney multiple times and is already familiar with the parks.
There is a TON of information in this book but for me there is not enough detail about any one attraction. I also wish that this book was a bit easier to search through to find information on a particular attraction because unless you have an eidetic memory it would be impossible to remember the information while at the park.
This was a good read for anyone with a bit of a Disney obsession. I learned a lot of tidbits of interesting information and it is helping to keep the excitement level up.
Because I am a monster, I have not yet nor do I have plans to take my now 6 and 9 year old to Disney. Selfishly it’s because crowds are not my bag. But also it’s because it feels like planning a trip to Disney is like homework: requires planning, making meal and fast pass reservations, research, and aaarrrgh.
Sorry kids – you got Lazy Mom and she doesn’t want to work that hard :P
I grew up going to Disney all the time (I lived a couple hours away and my grandparents lived even closer) and it wasn’t all the homework and preplanning it is now. I don’t have kids, and I can’t imagine trying to plan that trip now.
