My Review: “Meh”

July 4, 2016 by Orleanas 2 Comments

I didn’t love Rose Lerner’s Sweet Disorder (2014) as much as Ellepkay did, though her wonderful review is what sold me on reading it. Nonetheless, she is correct in identifying the nonstandard aspects of this romance as being its main appeal.

I read this about a year ago based on an author recommendation by Romance Godhead Courtney Milan, but I didn’t especially like it other than the non-standard elements. I think Lerner may be one to watch, but isn’t quite there yet.

I’m sad that you didn’t really enjoy this one, but happy you don’t feel like I wasted your time with the recommendation. :) I do agree with the complaints about pacing, but I was so wrapped up with the main characters I could overlook it. I have also been enjoying low action books lately, so the drag in the middle was ok with me – but I can definitely see that bothering lots of people. This other perspective should be a nice balance for people considering this one.
