We’re in the holiday time of year!

My lovely Cannonballers, are you looking for an excuse to share a little of that holiday cheer and do some spending through the Cannonball Read Buy Hole? (Remember, funds generated through the Buy Hole go to the American Cancer Society to fight cancer). I have the *perfect* opportunity for you. Let’s do a Holiday Book Exchange to cap off our NINTH year. The CBR Book Exchange is completely voluntary, but it’s a lovely part of our community here at CBR and a great way to get to know a fellow Cannonballer a little bit better. 

If you are interested in participating this year, here are the details:

The time line:

• Sign up by 28 November.
• Mail a package to your recipient by 13 December. You will receive an email with details from me no later than 30 November.
• Send an email to me when you send your package so I can make sure everyone is on track. If you haven’t received a package by 1 January, send an email. (When in doubt, shoot me an email!)
• Post a picture of your gift in a post here on the site, and tag it Book Exchange.  Mark the review number as 0.

How to sign up:

It’s easier than ever! Just fill out our quick Google Form and you’ll be all set. You’ll get a confirmation email from me within 24 hours and your assignment email by 30 November.

Food for thought:

If you send a used book, make sure it is in a good condition– think “like new.” Feel free to add something to the package, like candy, something bookish, or something festive. We don’t issue a hard monetary constraint on this since in the past the guidance “send a book or two with a small something extra” seemed to do the trick, but I would say stick to $25 or less plus shipping.
