This week has been long. Finals are looming. And on top of that, our second snow coincided with All The Events. Too much.
So, it was a great surprise and joy to come home this afternoon to a package filled with beautifully wrapped gifts from melanir.

(I thought the gift wrapping from Amazon was too gorgeous not to post).
Inside, I found two very exciting books:

I’ve been wanting to read Amitav Ghosh’s Sea of Poppies for a long time, as it’s a premiere Anglophone novel. And melanir had read and reviewed Amal El-Mohtar’s The Honey Month awhile ago, which sounded intriguing. These are exactly the kinds of books I like to read, and I am delighted to dive into these once Christmas Break starts. Thank you, melanir!!!!
I’m so glad you like them and happy reading! I’ve added Sea of Poppies to my pile of books, because it does sound interesting.
That gift wrapping is nice! I’ll have to remember that in the future . . .
