Click, Clack Moo I love you Snowball Moon

May 11, 2018 by BlackRaven Leave a Comment

Click, Clack, Moo I Love You Doreen Cronin and Betsy Lewin and your collaborations! Yes, this was a Valentine’s Day book, but if you are like me, you try and have fun with things during “not holiday times.”  Like me listening to Christmas Carols in July. Or if January 2nd has gone by and I have not found my Halloween costume I am very late. And with Click, Clack, Moo, I Love You, you can celebrate love throughout the year. Plus, this is just a great book to add to your Click, Clack, Moo collection. There is a message and it is a fun story.

It might not be a great book for Spring, (especially after the winter we had) but Snowball Moon by Fran Cannon and Tracy Bishop fits my theme of taking things out of their traditional place. This book is a fun book about having fun in the snow. Having fun at night. Having fun, period.  It is a read-aloud for bedtime. Or really any quiet time.

Both titles are different in tone. Click, Clack, Moo I Love You is Loud. Loud colors, text and style. Snowball Moon is Soft. Soft snow, soft text and soft theme. Both are about having a good time and having friends.  Both are good gifts for their allotted times, but also what a surprise for the child you love. Or even the child who likes snow. Perhaps even for a child that has never seen snow.

(Oh, and by the way, if you know someone who can help make a Velma from Scooby Doo costume, send them my way…. I am really late getting my costume together as I only have five months left….)
