Wham! It’s September Check-In time for the CBR10 Book Bingo Reading Challenge! Let’s dance with the enthusiasm of George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley in tiny pastel shorts.
There are 35 of us playing and we have posted over 200 reviews. We’ve earned a round of applause and a shimmy.
This post is a place for you to ask questions, ask for recommendations for categories, and find a review buddy if you need one. You can always post your questions in our Facebook group – Cannonball Read Book Chat, or on Twitter @cannonballread. We will also post the prizes we have so far. Check out our Instagram feed where we are posting pictures of the prizes every week. Finally, we’ll be posting administrative notes and reminders.
Administrative Stuff
- Please remember to tag your bingo reviews with cbr10bingo, and not “CBR10 Bingo”.
- Also, please remember to clearly indicate the category at the top or bottom of the review. My eyeballs thank you.

Bingo Game Card Pictures
If you are keeping track of your reading on a physical or digital Bingo card, feel free to share a picture of it on social media and tag the post with #cbr10bingo to show off to your fellow players. You can also upload it to the regular CBR Media Library just like you do in any post, or email it to rochelle at cannonballread dot com and your card will be added to this or future check-in posts. There will also be a roundup for a future Cannon Fodder newsletter and a wrap-up post here on the blog at the end of Bingo. You should also feel free to write your own wrap-up post when you have finished playing Bingo.

Ok, I think I’ve found the problem and a fix for it. When I check the cbr10bingo tag on my tablet, not everything shows up. When I check on the lap top, I see all the bingo reviews. I’m going through and double checking everyone’s totals and will adjust accordingly.
Would the National Book Award count as a major award for the Snubbed category? I have a lot of National Book Award, Giller Prize, Orange Prize (formerly known as, sigh) winner/nominees in the queue, but can switch it up.
Yes, the National Book Award is definitely a major award.

I’ve read 3 books in the past week but I can’t seem to move ahead with writing the reviews! I need to pick up my skirts and RUN.

If you are having a hard time getting started, you can use the bingo category as a writing prompt. Why did you choose that book for that category?
