cbr10bingo… Cover Art
THIS IS MY FIRST BINGO! (I plan on having more, but we’ll see) I chose this book for “cover art”, because it’s obviously a cool / disturbing cover.
We start out the story with a British detective (or inspector, or whatever rank he was at the time) talking to a family about how the pedophile who sexually abused their six year old daughter won’t be brought to justice. It’s devastating to both the family and the detective, because he’s a bad dude and he did some real harm.
Flash forward fifteen (I think) years, and the little girl who was abused now works for the police. She analyzes computer evidence, and she’s apparently really good at it. She’s so not ok though. Her relationship with her parents is strained because she kinda blames them, and she’s really mentally messed up. She starts luring in pedophiles online, inviting them to her home, where they think they’re going to have sex with a little girl (barf), and then she murders and dismembers them. I think by the end she had killed about six of them. I surprisingly didn’t have a problem with the murder part, but she graphically tortures and dismembers them, so that was a little hard to read.
This is apparently a series with the officer (DI Gravel) as the main character, and of course this is book 2 or 3, because that’s how I accidentally roll. I can’t say that I entirely liked the character DI Gravel, because he’s kind of an asshole, but he’s obviously a good cop, so we’ll see if I read the whole series.
Anyway, the important part!!!!

(my super blurry bingo card!)
