Looking at the sale books at work, I found Brownie Groundhog and the Wintery Surprise. Sweet dreams
Paul Schmid’s visual art in Little Bear Dreams is a unique mix of classical feelings and very modern as well. They are very simple. However, due to the size of the book, what little text there is gets lost. And even the images themselves seem to not fit the space provided. They overflow or look squished and either way looks uncomfortable. There is very little color as well. This would be perfect in a medium sized board book format or even an 8×8 paperback book. […]

I was all into Claudia & Moth right up until Claudia paints the moth (literally). My thought is “Wouldn’t this kill the moth?” At the very least, even non-toxic paint for humans could be toxic to a moth. It is only at the end that Claudia learns that the moth has its own beauty that she decides to paint the month in a special way. I would have written a different ending, but this is Jennifer Hansen Rolli’s choice. However, their illustrations are quite lovely. […]
