Don’t let this one fly right by you.

Karma Wilson is an author you love or hate. They have a signature style and do not vary from it. And like their other books, we have a story about positivity, bravery and spunk. You cannot get away from the feeling of Happy Feet or Happy Feet 2 (the first is where a penguin wants to do the unpenguin thing and dance; the other the penguin wants to fly but then finds his wings another way) in Don’t Be Afraid, Little Pip. Here Pip wants […]

Another Valentine’s Day book review with a few spoilers. Robot in Love looks like it might be a modern fairy tale. There is a Cinderella like robot on the cover and why not? However, it does turn into a story more about tolerance to love. The robot sees the loveliest creature for afar. As you go along, you learn they are shiny. The most lovely thing they have seen. Mirabel’s Missing Valentines is a sweet new story about friendship love, trying and doing your best. Mirabel is a sweet character. Not only is she a mouse, but a very traditional […]

Every time I find a Liane Moriarty book that I haven’t read yet, I celebrate. However much I end up liking the book, I know that I’m in for some kind of treat. Her writing is engaging, and her characters lively. No exception here. I quite enjoyed the book, despite some irritation at one of the character arcs. It might be my second favorite Moriarty book. The book is about the various relationships between sisters, daughters, mothers, grandmothers, and friends. Oh sure, there is the […]
