I Need a Hug is a year-round reading book, but also a great book for the upcoming holiday of President’s Day! (Oh wait, wrong kind of snake). Kidding aside, it is a sweet Valentine’s Day book. That “prickly thing” (a porcupine) wants a hug! Just a little cuddle! But all the other characters (Joe and Ken and such) rhyme their very strong No! Along with running away. Quickly! But at the end they are all just as quickly coming back! Do they want a hug […]
THIS REVIEW: might not be a popular opinion. But it is mine after this reading of it.
This is going to be a very popular book. It is going to win awards for context and for the illustrations. Karma Wilson is an author you love or hate. They have a signature style and do not vary from it. And like their other books, we have a story about positivity, bravery and spunk. You cannot get away from the feeling of Happy Feet or Happy Feet 2 (the first is where a penguin wants to do the unpenguin thing and dance; the other the penguin wants to fly but then finds his wings another way) in Don’t Be Afraid, Little Pip. Here Pip wants […]
