A story for book and bear lovers!

December 28, 2018 by BlackRaven Leave a Comment

Bearnard’s Book is a bit obvious to the adult reader what Bearnard’s book is going to be about, but Deborah Underwood draws the reader into the story showing the things it might be about. When Bearnard researches books about bears he learns they float, have porridge stolen and are messy. But Bearnard is not able to float (he is a bit afraid to actually) and he does love his porridge, so he just could not deal with it stolen, and well Bearnard is very much […]

Can you help Bear find the treat of all treats?

September 8, 2018 by BlackRaven Leave a Comment

Bear’s Spooky Book of Hidden Things: A Search-and-Find Adventure is truly an adventure. Gergely Dudas has made each page very busy with hidden treats our friend Bear is looking for. Of course, none are his beloved honeycomb. The illustrations are detailed and very bright. They are fun to search on. However, this is not meant for a very young child. The pages can be too detailed sometimes. (I am still looking for the wand). And some of the items Bear must find might not be […]
