Daredevil Season 3?

April 1, 2016 by Halbs 2 Comments

I have to preface this review by saying that Daredevil is on my Mount Rushmore of comic characters. He’s my guy. By day I’m an attorney and a person of faith, so I’m really into Matt Murdock’s worldview and how he wrestles with the balance of law, God, and justice. But I saw that this edition of Daredevil said “Volume 1” on it so thought that hey, maybe that would be a good place to start. What I realize is that this was the first run of Frank Miller at the helm for the character (the first half of the volume […]

Ennui over too many comic-book characters is a thing, I guess.

July 18, 2015 by bonnie Leave a Comment

After the intriguing revisit to Gotham City in The Dark Knight Returns, I wondered what sort of sequel The Dark Knight Strikes Again would be. As it turns out, the direct sequel aspect is quickly overshadowed by the expanding of the Justice League World. It’s not a world I’m familiar with, so I soon found my (admittedly limited) knowledge of the Justice League swamped after cursory characters from movies and TV shows I’d seen. It’s not a bad thing, per se, but I still consider […]
