Honestly, I had great hopes for this newest creation by Mo Willems (as I am a little nuts about squirrels). But I Lost My Tooth has too much in the way of shenanigans and not enough bite in the facts about the subject matter area. Granted there are some pieces of information too sink your chompers into about teeth and squirrels, but I would have liked to have seen more. Yet, I am assuming that for the age it is aimed at (The Elephant and […]
“Comics to make you cry laughing and cry crying”
When I was a kid, my dad had a couple of volumes of collections of The Far Side Gallery comics, and I… well, to be honest, when I first read them I was much too young to understand more than one in thirty of them, but eventually, I loved them. It’s full of trope-y delicious nonsense, and ridiculous people, and stuff you know could never happen in real life, but who cares? Duke, hideously scarred in The War, loses fiancé and proposes a Marriage of Convenience to the Uppity Seamstress who dared ask for the funds he owes her for creating the lost fiancé’s hideous wedding […]
