A delightful way to officially begin my 2019 reading year. This novel by Jennifer Niven was part of a pile of YA novels I checked out of my college’s library before winter break and so far it’s been my favorite. Similar to her first novel, All the Bright Places, this novel focuses on the developing relationship between two Indiana high school students, and the story is told by both characters in alternating chapters. Libby Strout is excited and dreading her first day of school since […]
“We’re all weird and damaged in our own way. You’re not the only one.”
Okay so this book was really good, as many of y’all have already noted on CBR. I won’t be saying anything new here — just adding to the recommendations! “Dear friend, You are not a freak. Blah blah blah…great book…great characters…BRAD PITT CAN’T RECOGNIZE FACES…
Seriously, I’m not sure I can even get past the news that Brad Pitt has a disorder that prevents him from recognizing faces. According to Holding up the Universe, one in every 50 people has this disorder, and I’m overwhelmed with this information. Brad Pitt must be so surprised every time he looks in the mirror! Or when he sees his handsome friends, beautiful children, or gorgeous ex-wives. I really can’t get over this. Like Brad, one of the two narrators of this book has […]
