Oh I’m so (irrationally) excited you loved these. I’m saving Landline for my 52nd read (only 6 to go!). But what about Fangirl? What are your thoughts, sir???
Oops. This is what happens when you decide, rather than spam you guys with my Rainbow Rowell loving in 5 reviews (I re-read Attachments twice and re-read the others just once), I keep it all contained within one extra-long review. I touched on all the others but failed to say much about Fangirl.
Here’s my review from my first read through of Fangirl last year, though (http://travisjarrodsmith.tumblr.com/post/62261291428/cannonball-read-v-review-133-fangirl-by-rainbow). Everything in that still stands. If anything, I liked all of her books more the second (or, in the case of Attachments, the third) time around.
And you’re on the home stretch, then! Keep it up! How many did you read last year?
Last year I only made it to 29 read and reviewed (I had a massive slump last summer where everything I picked up got put down unfinished, life was not a happy time just then), and managed the full 52 the year before, by the skin of my teeth (I posted review 52 on December 31). I’m assuming you’re doing the triple this year?
Ahh, now I remember your Fangirl review. I loved that book so much this summer I bought a copy and mailed it to my younger sister, who then devoured it and bought the other books for herself.
I know what that’s like. Happens to me plenty. It makes me wonder why I’ll sometimes be able to plow through a book I have a seething hatred for, yet others that are just meh get put down and never picked back up. Then there are other “meh” ones that I am able to stick with. Part of me wants to do an in-depth analysis of this phenomenon in an attempt to get to the bottom of it.
Anyway, a Cannonball’s a Cannonball, right!? And I’m actually past the triple at this point (194 books read). Just way behind on reviews. I might even manage the quadruple if I can catch back up and continue reading at a decent rate. Not getting my hopes up, though. Especially since I’ve been in one of those aforementioned slumps for a while now.
Aw, I’m glad to hear that! I’m never very good at getting people I know to check out things I love. My one friend did read Attachments, though, and said it reminded her of me. Assume she meant Lincoln reminded her of me, which I totally get.
