I saw numerous positive reviews of The Sisters Mederos somewhere, maybe Goodreads, so decided to try it out. On the one hand, it’s a good look at the relationship between two sisters and the rest of their family, once wealthy and respected merchants but not since the parents are accused of some vague sort of business fraud and socially and financially ruined by the Guild. Sister 1, Vivienne is the smart generally viewed as competent elder daughter, while sister 2 Tesara is the younger generally […]
Breaking the first rule of Fight Club
Originally, Heavy Vinyl was titled Hi Fi Fight Club. This will be important in a minute or two. The basic premise of this graphic novel, originally a short series of comic books now bundled and bound as a set, is cute and light hearted. Teenage Chris has recently gotten her dream job at the local record shop Vinyl Destination. She wants to become a musician and she has a crush on one coworker (peppy Maggie), idolizes her boss (Irene), adores older co-worker (Kennedy), and would […]

I like books, I like literary history, and I like bibliography, therefore I should have liked this. And […]

This includes Merinor, formerly blacksmith’s wife, now King; Aeve, eldest princess, now Knight, and Gwneff, the younger princess who is somewhat tomboyish and somewhat bratty. There’s also some variety […]
