Another memoir about a messed-up childhood! You know, I wonder sometimes why I, and my little sister, read so many of these books. We certainly did not have messed up childhoods. I just realize that eight of the last ten books that I’ve read have been memoirs, and seven of those eight have been written by women. Look at the cover of this book. Or Google it, if for some reason my book cover isn’t showing up (which they haven’t been doing lately and am I doing something wrong?). Anyway, examine the cover. Look at the handsome actor with his cleft chin, presumably standing in the rain in this black and white shot that somehow conveys angst, and art, and sacrifice.
