I wasn’t entirely certain whether or not I liked this book as I was reading it, until I got to the end and realized I really wanted to read the sequel. Oceans rise, empires fall, it’s much harder when it’s all your call
It took me a bit to get into this one but, by the time I was about three quarters of the way through, I was pretty desperate to finish it. Terrible half-baked review of a really good book.
I think I’ve really done this book an injustice by waiting so long to review it. (Thanks a lot, Mansfield Park!) I remember being ridiculously entertained by it, and reading it at a pretty fast pace, even for me. But I’ve forgotten most of why I found it so entertaining in the two and a half months since finishing it.
