I love to read. I'm usually reading at least 3 books at a time. They're not all good... some are really bad. I have trouble not finishing books though. Now CBR has doubled down on that trouble, because I want to get credit for reading the bad ones too!

A kidnapping and family drama

April 27, 2018 by kfishgirl Leave a Comment

TITLES ARE HARD TO THINK OF!  This is book three in a trilogy about Detective Jennifer Knight.  She’s a detective for Operation Moonlight, and they investigate any crime that might have a supernatural element.  I like the characters in the trilogy, but we don’t see as much of them in this book as in the earlier ones.  This story is all about the family involved in the crime Jennifer is investigating. A little nine year old twin girl goes missing and is presumed kidnapped off […]

Druids are cool y’all

April 23, 2018 by kfishgirl 1 Comment

So this is the fifth and final book of the time quintet.  I read the fifth book before the 4th book because I had it on audiobook and I didn’t carpool for a week so I needed something to entertain me while I was driving to and from work. I mostly hated it! I was very surprised, because I generally liked the first three. I’m going to have to basically spoil the entire book to illustrate why I hated it so much. Spoilers after the […]

I’m finally finishing the Newsflesh trilogy

April 17, 2018 by kfishgirl Leave a Comment

NEWS FLASH: I started this trilogy from the beginning!  See, I reall can do it! So this book took me a few months to read. It actually took me a few months to remember that I bought it and had at one time been excited to read it. I basically loved book one, and almost hated book two. I liked parts of this book and other parts were a little slow. It was also (unnecessarily) over six hundred pages long. I’m gonna go ahead and spoil […]

Gideon and Sirius find a lost dog… but is the human lost too?

April 17, 2018 by kfishgirl 2 Comments

This is the final book in the Gideon and Sirius series.  As I noted in my earlier G&S reviews, I love Sirius. Obviously he’s my favorite character. Gideon is OK, especially because of the way he treats all dogs. I don’t remember how this book actually started, but the action really began one night when Sirius heard a dog outside in trouble. Sirius woke up Gideon and basically dragged him outside to see what was wrong with the dog.  She had been attacked by a […]
