A self-indulgent mid-series book that is about 1000 pages too long.
I DID IT. I FINISHED THIS HULKING BEAST OF A BOOK. The Fiery Cross is the fifth book in Arizona (woot) author Diana Gabaldon’s time-traveling historical fiction saga. I have enjoyed all the books up until this one, some with reservations, but still enjoyed. It fills my heart up and gets louder
Drums of Autumn had the feeling of getting back on its feet after the last two books in the series. Not that Dragonfly in Amber and Voyager weren’t enjoyable — quite the contrary — but this book finally has Claire and Jamie back together throughout the entire duration, free from any timey-wimey separations.
