Finally caught up! #CBRBingo

November 27, 2018 by narfna 2 Comments

I liked this one as much as I liked Dragonfly in Amber and Drums of Autumn. A definite improvement over the last several books, although I did enjoy #7 as well, if not quite as much. I’m officially caught up on this series now, and that feels weird! These books are so long, and they’re still not done! Not even going to try and sum up what happened in this book. It was a lot. That last sentence should hopefully provide some understanding as to why it took me so long […]

Long Book is Long

January 8, 2018 by NoNeinNyet Leave a Comment

This book covers the longest period of time in all of the Outlander books to date and it was noticeable. Despite going on many side adventures all over North Carolina, the Frasers et al are largely based on their land at Fraser’s Ridge in both this book and the one that proceeded it, The Fiery Cross. Because so much time has been spent on the Ridge, a lot of time is spent with its various inhabitants. They’re often not treated as on-going concerns with true throughlines throughout the […]
