Guys, read this book. I mean it.

So I read this book in almost exactly 24 hours. My book club picked The Unseen World, at my suggestion, and so of course I waited until the last minute to start it. Don’t know why I did that. It was so good. And I never would have picked it up without book club (even though I suggested it), so thank goodness for book clubs. This is genre fiction that thinks it’s literary, with quirks that seem to scream “I’m different and unique,” when in fact it’s just another vampire story. The blurb described the book as being about a woman, Charlotte, who goes to London after her brother disappears and discovers a few […]

Less moaning about your looks, more sorting out your country, young Queen

December 30, 2016 by Malin 3 Comments

3.5 stars Kelsea knows that when she turns nineteen, it is time for her to take her rightful place as Queen, like her mother (who died when she was a baby) and grandmother before her. She has been raised far from civilisation, by two loyal servants, who did their best to prepare her in every way they could for the duty she would be facing. What they have not done is socialise her in any way, she’s barely seen another living soul since she was […]
