Double Double Toil and Trouble

May 14, 2018 by Jen K 1 Comment

First off, I enjoyed this one much more than Equal Rites.  While this novel still doesn’t necessarily make me want to go out and read everything Pratchett has ever written, I have added him to my list of fall back authors for when I need a book and have no ideas on what to get.  I think the main thing is that sometimes he just drags out jokes/premises a bit longer than they really need to go. Heartbroken and furious at the universe for what happened to Sir Terry. SIGH. But if you let the Nac Mac Feegle chase away the sad for […]

Ineffable

February 5, 2018 by octothorp 3 Comments

Ive been trying to read down the pile of unread books in my library, and this necessitated eating my literary vegetables, so to speak – the stuff that’s not fun or that I’ve put off for one reason or another until I forgot why I bought the damn thing to begin with – some of which weren’t even nutritious, to torture the metaphor. It was cake time, muffukkas. This was my eleventy billionth reading of this book and it never fails to make me smile. […]
