They should really dress Raj in a suit once in a while — he cleans up nice

Raj has always been my favorite character on The Big Bang Theory — at least, back when I used to watch it (I dropped off when Amy Farrah Fowler showed up — cannot stand her!). He always seemed really sweet and kind of adorable, and I was happy to find out that Kunal Nayyar, who plays the character, seems the same way in real life.

“If what you want happens, good. If it doesn’t happen, very good.”

Nayyar came to America at the age of 18 to attend college in Portland, Oregon. He didn’t have a burning desire to become an actor — he sort of fell into it in an attempt to meet girls. He had a lot of trouble in that department (although at least he could speak in front of them). After a few embarrassing incidents, he finally starts to get the hang of it and works his ass off doing theater and auditioning for TV shows and movies. He tells some stories from his childhood, as well, and talks a lot about his father, who gave him a lot of good advice.

A lot of the chapters are only a page of two long, so it really feels just like a collection of little stories. It’s a cute little book, although nothing spectacular.
