Whether All The Lies We Tell was meant to be a mystery novel with some romance, or a romance novel with some mystery, it didn’t quite rock either genre. I’ve never read anything else by Megan Hart, but according to Goodreads she tends to walk that line with most of her works.

Alicia and Jennilyn grew up across the street from brothers Nikolai and Ilya, in a cul-de-sac all alone. Fast forward a decade or so — Jennilyn is dead, Alicia and Ilya are divorced, and Nikolai hasn’t been seen in years. Now everyone’s brought back together when the boys’ grandmother passes away. It’s a lot of uncovering old truths and rekindling old romances and that sort of thing. Apparently there is or will be a sequel, which I probably won’t hunt down, but it was vaguely entertaining and did have a couple fun sexy times, plus it took like…3 hours to read. So I’ll call it halfway decent. Bring it on an airplane.
