Grave Dance is the second book in the Alex Craft series and I’m definitely enjoying myself on this one. So far, I’m impressed enough to keep reading. Again, there’s no reinventing of the wheel, but the elements of Urban Fantasy are all well handled and the plot keeps ticking along at a very quick pace. In this book, Alex is asked to investigate a foot, or rather several feet, which has turned up after a flood. And then the plot takes off we follow breathlessly […]
Never too Short for a Stormtrooper
The Princess Diarist was not as hard to read, as I was afraid it was going to be, even after the death of Carrie Fisher. I’m not quite sure what I was expecting, but I thought this rumination on Princess Leia and how that character, and the filming of Star Wars, changed her life was interesting. The only other thing I’ve read by Carrie Fisher is an article she wrote lambasting the gold bikini, which I liked, but this collection of memories around Star Wars […]

However, it’s moody and atmospheric enough that I’m willing to forgive the excess plot. I really enjoyed it is what I’m saying. One warning though, this book deals pretty intensely with anorexia, it doesn’t glorify the disease but I know that for some people the mere mention of […]
