Corpies is a spinoff of the Super Powereds books. It fits between Super Powereds Year 2 and 3 – we hear a little bit about it in Year 3, but not much. Hershel and Roy’s father, the hero called Titan, has decided to finally get off his ass and return to hero work. He had previously left the hero business, or the Life, after a sex scandal ruined his reputation. Not only was Titan caught having sex with someone other than his wife, but it […]
Escape now. Hug later.
Okay, did you read the hilarious tweet conversation this summer between Chuck Wendig and Sam Sykes? It’s here. I’ll wait while you read it, because it’s a damned delight of an exchange between two writers who love their work and appreciate genre and enjoy happiness. And then there was another one, this fall. It has never before taken me longer than a week to read a Brandon Sanderson book, and that’s including the previous two 1,000+ page behemoths in this series. But it took me almost three weeks to get through Oathbringer. This more than anything is proof that reading a book fast does not necessarily mean that it’s good, and reading one slowly doesn’t mean you don’t enjoy it. That’s a new thing for me. Usually I inhale books like I do my food, fast and without mercy. […]
