I am not sure if there were pages missing from my copy or there is a series before this that filled in some blanks, but the entire time I was reading I felt like I was in the middle of the story. So I got all whiny about Vol. 3, which is the trade published right after Lumberjanes transitioned from a limited series to an ongoing one. I wasn’t quite sure how to feel about it. They changed the artists all around (I hate when comics do that), and the story felt less silly and frenetic. It wasn’t bad, just different. Less in your face hilarity, more story cohesion.
I don’t quite know how to rate this one, because it’s so different from the first two volumes.
