Bingo Square: So Shiny! Picking up after Me Before You and After You, Still Me finds Louisa Clark in New York, working as an assistant for the Gopnik family. Specifically, Lou is there to help Agnes Gopnik, the much younger (very unhappy) second wife of Leonard Gopnik. She handles Agnes’s schedule, attends swanky events with her, and keeps her secrets. They’re friends you see. Lou also attracts other ‘friendly’ attention in the form of Josh, a man who looks strikingly similar to someone Lou loved […]
There is Great Consolation in Simply Doing Something You Love
I would categorize the British author, Jojo Moyes, as my literary snack food. I tend to inhale each book like a bag of potato chips—not particularly nutritious but just what I’m looking for at the time. I’ve enjoyed getting to know Louisa (Lou) Clark over three novels: Me Before You, After You, and now Still Me and truthfully, I’ve found her […]

It’s not as wonderful as, at least in my opinion, Me Before You was, but it’s still a decent story and I enjoyed the characters. “… “Lived happily ever after,” Natasha concluded, thinking back to that photograph. The woman who was well loved. John’s glare was withering. “Are you kidding me?” he said. “Who the hell gets to live happily ever after?” As usual, JoJo weaves several stories together. In the past, we have a […]
