Brandon Sanderson gets a lot of love here at the CBR, and I’m glad to see that. This series is the only exposure I’ve had to his writing, however. The second book in the Reckoners series. I felt that Steelheart had a really exciting opening, then was sort of…not exactly boring, but it didn’t live up to the opening. Even so, I really liked the book. Firefight was really good. I liked giving the main character something new to focus on, other than revenge.
