I have a small confession to make: I bought this book right away when it came out, and then I couldn’t bear to open it because I knew it would be at least 2 years before the next one. Well, said next one has been announced, so I felt a little more secure opening Imprudence. Sweet Steam
Imogene Hale is different. She does not like men. She does not want children. She is brilliant but uneducated. She seeks to broaden her world and hopefully meet some fellow “perverts” by becoming a maid at the vampire nest. There she meets an enigmatic and very sexy inventor. It’s not because the books aren’t fantastic, its because I’m easily distractable. The series is a fun read. I highly recommend. Lady Alexia Maccon, neé Tarabotti, is a preternatural living in steampunk Victorian England. Her husband is the Alpha of London’s werewolf pack and the head of the Bureau for Unnatural Registration (BUR), and sits on the Queen’s Shadow […]
