After seven novels, the Throne of Glass series has concluded. Overall, I enjoyed the novel and the series and basically devoured this book in less than three days. And it was long! I also may do a reread now that they are all released though I apparently should have started it before this novel. I couldn’t quite remember who all the supporting characters were and how they came into play – which makes sense because while it’s only been a year since the last Throne of Glass novel, that one was […]
A rollercoaster of frustration, eyerolling, and morbid curiosity
One of my goals this year is to read more fantasy by female authors. I will not declare this to be an exclusive goal (if the next Martin or Rothfuss or Lynch or Staveley novel is punished I will devour it with no guilt whatsoever). Soooooooooo, I definitely thought this was the last book in the series while I was reading it. But NOPE. I’m not sure I’ll read more, though. I mean, there’s more story there, for sure, but it also felt kind of…complete. I’m not sure I even want to read any more. I’ve enjoyed these books but I’m not sure I’m tied up in them enough to continue. Reading the reviews of this book on Goodreads only cemented that fact. People over there are REALLY REALLY into […]
